Two Sheffielders have been recognised for their recent achievements in the world of Seniors tennis. Both have, over the last couple of years, successfully competed in many tournaments in the UK and mainland Europe, Wilf Jessop now being picked for the 2018 Great Britain Over 70’s team to play in the World Championships in Umag, Croatia, in September, and Margaret French, late of Bradfield but now of Northumberland, selected as first reserve for the Ladies 75’s team at the same venue. Both four-person teams will play a medley of doubles and singles against up to five other countries on red clay. Well done to both and make sure you get plenty of practice on clay courts!
